Moltbot Installation Guide | Telegram + Google Pro Integration
A complete installation guide for Moltbot (formerly Clawdbox), a locally deployable AI Agent framework with Telegram integration and Google Pro model configuration.
Hey everyone, I'm Ivanvolt.
Recently, Moltbot (formerly Clawdbox) has been making waves in the AI Agent community.
In short, here's what it does: Moltbot is a locally deployable AI Agent framework that connects large language model capabilities directly to WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, and more. You can send commands through chat applications, have it perform tasks, and it supports multiple models, multiple channels, and long-term personality & memory management.
Think of it as:
A real private AI assistant that can work with you long-term.
After seeing many success stories, I finally had time to run through the entire setup process myself.

I followed this tweet from @akokoi1 👉 https://x.com/akokoi1/status/2015615914197357003?s=20
The overall steps are consistent, and the documentation is clear — just follow along and it works.
However, I had two different experiences during my setup 👇
1️⃣ Model Selection
I didn't go with domestic Chinese models. Instead, I chose to integrate Google Pro:
- More complete multimodal capabilities (text / image / large expansion space)
- Extremely low cost
🐟 A ready-made account costs just a few dozen yuan and can last about a year
Yes, the main reason is that I happened to have one on hand 😂
2️⃣ Deployment Environment
The deployment environment uses a Tencent Cloud Singapore server that's been gathering dust for half a year:
- Specs: 2H2G
- Been sitting idle
- Finally put to use today 😂
Why Choose Google Pro?
Two core reasons:
- Capability: Multimodal is really great, with lots of room for expansion
- Cost: Incredibly cost-effective, no pressure for long-term use
What's Next?
No more talking. I'll skip the earlier installation steps here (the original guide is already very complete). Below I'll start from Google API integration, directly with screenshots + visual walkthrough 👇
-
After running the installation command, the terminal will prompt for Google authorization

-
Get the authorization URL

-
When copying from terminal, there might be format issues — remember to manually adjust

-
This is what it should look like — note the truncation point

-
Visit the URL, log in to your Google account normally, complete authorization, then copy the browser URL (the localhost one)

-
Paste it into the terminal, press "Enter"

-
This step is for selecting the conversation model

-
Select the skills you need to install. You can ask AI, follow my setup, or just skip

-
Hooks — skip it. Press "Space" first, then "Enter"

-
Select TUI first to test and verify the configuration works

-
I'm integrating with Telegram. Search for "@BotFather", create a bot (name must end with "bot"), send /start to the bot, and get the code

-
Copy the bot's last message (replace the code) and send it to the TUI on the server, let it connect and pair directly

-
Start playing!
